Weight Loss & Wellness Programs

Lake Med can help build and manage a personalized weight-loss plan that considers your health history, goals, lifestyle, medication options, follow-up needs, and budget — so treatment is practical, medically supervised, and easier to stay with.
YOUR PLAN MAY INCLUDE
Medical evaluation and goal setting
FDA-approved medication options when appropriate
Nutrition, activity, and behavior planning
Progress, side-effect, and lab monitoring
Cost-conscious treatment planning
PRESCRIPTION WEIGHT-LOSS MEDICATIONS

FDA-approved options are not one-size-fits-all.

Depending on your health history and eligibility, a clinician may discuss different FDA-approved options. Lake Med can help compare the benefits, risks, route of administration, expected follow-up, and cost considerations of medications that may fit your plan.
Wegovy® — semaglutide injection or tablets
Zepbound® — tirzepatide injection
Foundayo™ — orforglipron oral GLP-1 tablet
Saxenda® — liraglutide injection
Qsymia® — phentermine/topiramate extended release
Contrave® — naltrexone/bupropion
Orlistat products — including prescription and over-the-counter options
Phentermine — FDA-approved for short-term use in appropriate patients
COMPOUNDED WEIGHT-LOSS MEDICATIONS

Compounded medication requires careful, individualized use.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not automatically interchangeable with an FDA-approved product. When a compounded option is legally available, clinically appropriate, and prescribed for an individual patient, Lake Med can help review the source, dosing plan, monitoring needs, and whether it truly makes sense for your situation.
Availability depends on federal and state compounding rules
Compounded products do not undergo FDA premarket review
Dosing and concentration can differ from branded products
Medication source and pharmacy quality matter
Cost should be weighed alongside safety, effectiveness, and availability
YOUR WEIGHT-LOSS PLAN

More than a prescription — a plan built around what you can actually sustain.

Lake Med can combine medical evaluation, medication management, realistic lifestyle goals, regular follow-up, and cost-conscious decision-making so your plan can change as your needs and progress change.
01

Start with the full picture

Your provider can review health history, medications, prior weight-loss attempts, goals, risks, lab needs, eating patterns, activity, sleep, and other factors that may affect progress.
02

Choose a practical treatment path

If medication is appropriate, the plan can compare FDA-approved choices, insurance coverage, manufacturer programs, cash pricing, generics, and legally available compounded options when clinically appropriate.
03

Manage and adjust over time

Follow-up can track progress, side effects, nutrition, activity, labs, dose changes, plateaus, and whether the treatment still makes sense medically and financially.
WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM QUESTIONS

Helpful information before you contact Lake Med.

Does Lake Med prescribe GLP-1 medications?

Medication decisions depend on your individual health history, eligibility, risks, availability, and clinical judgment. A consultation can help determine which options may be appropriate to discuss.

Can Lake Med help me find a more affordable option?

Lake Med can help compare treatment paths and discuss insurance coverage, manufacturer savings where available, generic or lower-cost options, pharmacy pricing, and legally available compounded medications when clinically appropriate. Savings cannot be guaranteed.

Are compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide the same as Wegovy or Zepbound?

No. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and should not be represented as generic or identical versions of FDA-approved products. Their legal availability and appropriate use can also change over time.

Will medication be the only part of my program?

Not necessarily. A weight-loss plan may also include nutrition goals, activity planning, behavior changes, sleep and stress considerations, laboratory monitoring, and regular follow-up based on your individual needs.
